Bénéficiez d'un tarif membre de la SEE: Thème Les Wide Area Measurement Systems enregistrent le comportement de paramètres-clés des systèmes électriques interconnectés à travers le monde. Ils permettent de détecter des phénomènes spécifiques aux grandes interconnexions, tels que les oscillations de puissance à basse fréquence. Le réseau européen compte une cinquantaine de WAMS installés à ce jour. Après les grands black-outs qui ont secoué le monde électrique en 2003 et dans un contexte de développement de l'interconnexion synchrone en Europe vers le Bassin Méditerranéen et vers la CEI et les Etats Baltes, leur rôle est aujourd'hui considéré comme essentiel dans l'analyse et la reconstitution post-accidentelle, dans la validation de la modélisation dynamique des réseaux, dans la mise en place de tests probatoires avant la réalisation effective d'une interconnexion. Notre conférence vous propose un panorama de l'actualité des WAMS et de leur utilisation sur le continent Nord-Américain et en Europe par deux grands spécialistes du développement de l'interconnexion synchrone et de ses conséquences sur le comportement dynamique des réseaux. Intervenants A. G. Phadke is a University Distinguished Professor (Emeritus) at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, USA. His primary research area is the microcomputer based monitoring, protection, and control of power systems. He is a co-author of two books on relaying: Computer Relaying for Power Systems, and Power System Relaying, and is the editor of and contributor to the book Handbook of Electrical Engineering Computations. He is a Fellow of IEEE and was awarded the IEEE Third Millennium Medal in 2000, named the Outstanding Power Engineering Educator by the IEEE in 1991, and received the Power Engineering Educator Award of the EEI in 1986. He received the IEEE Herman Halperin Transmission and Distribution award in 2000. He was the Chairman of the Technical Committee of USNC CIGRE, and Editor-In-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery. Dr. Phadke was elected to the US National Academy of Engineering in 1993. Juan Manuel Rodríguez received the degree of Electrical Engineer from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid) in 1988. He joined Red Electrica de España S.A. in 1990 where he is presently Head of International Institutions Coordination. His experience lies in the area of planning and and power quality. In the stability field, he participated to the studies of the Spain-Morocco Electrical Interconnection and the integration of wind generation in the power system. He is presently deeply involved in UCTE* activities: System Development and Network of Experts on Wind Power. He is an international operation of power systems, reactive power and voltage control, stability expert on the implementation of WAMS in Europe in relation with the extension of the synchronous interconnection of UCTE to Mediterranean region and to CEI and Baltic States. *"Union for the Co-ordination of Transmission of Electricity" (UCTE) is the association of transmission system operators in continental Europe.
